Ashes of Creation features 40 minutes of new gameplay – Impressed with times of day affecting combat

what is this video On December 2nd, the developers of the upcoming MMORPG Ashes of Creation released a new video. It contains around 40 minutes of new gameplay and also some information about the game.
The video not only goes into more detail about the cleric class, but also focuses on the day-night cycle in Ashes of Creation.
How do the times of day work? The developers explain that the times of day in Ashes of Creation change in a certain rhythm. This means that both day and night last for several hours and dynamically merge into one another.
This not only graphically impressively changes how the world around you looks, but also which opponents you encounter and where you can run into them. Even the behavior of certain enemies is said to change depending on what time of day you encounter them.
However, this dynamic change does not exist within specific instances. The dungeons and areas separated from the open world have their own times of day and do not follow the cycle of the normal world.
How dark the night is is currently still being clarified. Here you want to rely on the feedback of the players. However, there should also be a clear visual difference to the tag.

Different damage types affect combat
What class do you see there? In the gameplay video you can see the Cleric class. The developers use it to show in detail how the class works, which was not entirely clear until now. By the way, the character in the video shows gameplay around level 14, so not too deep into the game.
In doing so, the cleric builds up a resource called Conviction, which increases his damage and improves his ability in battle. For example, if the cleric has more Conviction, he can heal more, and his healing ability will bounce off more often, hitting more allies.
In addition, the cleric relies on holy damage. This does more damage to the undead. The MMORPG is said to have several types of damage to which different monsters are more resistant or allergic.

What other information was there? Otherwise there was a lot of additional information, most of which was already partially known. The developers say that a character should have access to around 20-30 skills in the endgame and that the MMORPG is generally more difficult than easier in terms of fighting.
In combat, there should still be synergies between different buffs and classes, which can be combined accordingly to be even more efficient and do more damage. In addition, one would like to take various measures to counteract the hated “stunlock” in PvP.
Stunlock is when you get so many incapacitating effects pressed in one after the other that you just stand there stupidly for a long time and watch yourself die. How this is supposed to work in detail is not disclosed.
