CD Projekt has said it will shut down The Witcher: Monster Slayer mobile game next year.

Plans to end support for the game were confirmed today after the company said in October that it would focus on its core business of PC and console development, with mobile projects to be carried out in collaboration with external studios.

Released in July 2021, The Witcher: Monster Slayer is a free to play RPG for iOS and Android devices. Development of the location-based augmented reality game has already been discontinued.

It will be removed from Google Play and the App Store on January 31, 2023, and access to the game will be disabled for all players on June 30 of next year.

The game’s developer, CD Projekt’s mobile game studio Spokko, is expected to join the larger group to work on other projects.
