Pokémon Crimson and Crimson has once again announced a new raid event.

In just a few days, a new Tera Raid event will start in Pokémon Crimson and Crimson, where you can grab either a special Tyranitar or a special Brutalanda. However, there is a small catch.

Date and time of the Tera Raid with Brutalanda/Despotar

Here are the key data for the new Tera Raid event (via bisafans):

  • Begin: December 9, 2022 at 1 a.m
  • End: December 12, 2022 at 12:59 am

During this event, you can fight Brutalanda and Tyranitar in 4 and 5 star raids. The raids should be much easier than the 7 star raid against Charizard with the titan character. Both Pokémon will also be of a special Tera type. It is not yet known what these are.

The catch mentioned above: For this Tera event, Game Freak is sticking to the edition differences between Crimson and Crimson. So you can only fight and catch Brutalanda in the Pokémon Crimson raids. Tyranitar, on the other hand, only appears in Crimson raids.

The conventional versions of the two Pokémon are also exclusive to the edition: we only find Childwurm, Draschel and Brutalanda in purple. Larvitar, Pupitar, and Despotar only hang around in Crimson. If you want to have them all, you have to use the swap feature. You can find a list of all edition-specific Pokémon here:

Don’t forget Charizard: In addition, you will soon have the chance to face Charizard again in a Tera Raid. The Tera Raid event starts on December 16th and runs until December 19th. All information about the Charizard Raid can be found here.

And in this GamePro special you will find an overview of all current raid events.

It’s a shame, I would have wished that Pokémon Crimson and Crimson, at least in Tera Raids, didn’t give a damn about edition-specific pocket monsters and thus gave us another opportunity to get Pokémon that we would otherwise only get with the trade feature.

Of course, as the owner of the Crimson Edition, I’m particularly jealous of Brutalanda. One of my absolute favorite Pokemon that I would have loved to have caught in a raid. On the other hand, I have already received a despotar in the conventional course of the game. Sure, the raid variant will have a special Tera type, but I still lack the motivation to fight the green Godzilla-like Pokémon in the raid. With Brutalanda things would of course look completely different, here my collecting fever would drive me.

Well, now I have to annoy my colleague and purple owner Eleen and hope that she will trade the dragon over to me!

Do you take part in the raids? And which Pokémon do you like better: Tyranitar or Brutalanda?
