Win Steelrising for PC, PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S - French Revolution with a difference

Our advent calendar is getting closer to its finale and you can still win today: Enter the following mask for the competition and you will have the chance to win one of three Steelrising for PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. You can still find a new article in the advent calendar on Eurogamer.de every morning until December 26th, and if you happen to miss one: you can still enter a post for all competitions up until Boxing Day.

With Steelrising by Nacon, you’ll experience a different version of the French Revolution – one that King Louis XIV won by throwing an army of automated machines at the rebellious people. And so it is probably not surprising that one also goes into the fight against the machines as an automaton in order to pave the way for social progress after all.

However, the protagonist Aegis is no ordinary robot, but a dancer originally created for entertainment, who was converted into a killing machine. As a result, she fights her enemies in an acrobatic manner and occasionally uses firearms to gain an advantage. Experimenting with very different melee and ranged weapons is one of the great strengths of their adventure.

Now Steelrising is a Soulslike and therefore not without in terms of a playful challenge. But developer Spiders had an idea: You can activate an assistance mode and make Aegis as resilient as you want it to be. You can switch it on and off at any time, for example to defuse frustrating boss fights.

Traveling through devastated Paris, you will pass well-known sights such as the Louvre and Notre-Dame, as well as buildings that no longer exist, such as the Bastille. You can reach high roofs with a grappling hook to find new ways and let your eyes wander over the city.
