metro-Developer 4A Games recently gave an update on the status of the next game in the shooter series. There were a few exciting news for the modding community.

The latest update from 4A Games details the company’s experience since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and how the war impacted the development of Metro 4. In the explanation, the developers describe how the topics tyranny, conflict and oppressionwhich were also crucial for the games, have become part of their daily lives.
The studio remains committed to the ongoing difficulties of the “new normal” to overcome in which the company and the rest of Ukraine are located. All the more the strong political and Anti-War Message from the previous titles are also taken up in the new part of the series.
4A Games releases free Metro SDK for modders
While the development studio didn’t reveal any major details about the upcoming title, the company did have a few exciting news for modders.
That software development kit (short SDK) that was used to develop Metro Exodus is now available to modders for free. In addition, the studio also delivers a complete level from “Exodus”, which players and modders can disassemble in the editor.
Of course, the Exodus SDK is not to be used for commercial purposes and is intended solely for the modding community to play around with and maybe even share their own vision of what the next Metro game could be like.
