Forspoken: Start on Steam sucks
After the gaming press gave Forspoken an unsatisfactory verdict, players are now following up, as can be seen from the Steam reviews. Because even the start on the distribution platform is catastrophic for Luminous Productions and Square Enix with 48 percent approval.
Sentence with X was probably nothing. That’s probably the motto for Forspoken, the direct storage technology hope that was officially released yesterday. Even the gaming journalists couldn’t do much with the game in advance. Forspoken was lacking in too many corners and ends, whether in the narration of the action open world RPG or the technical aspects. But can the result of the trade press also be applied to player opinion? The answer is yes, the Forspoken verdict is even more destructive when it comes to Steam gaming.
Forspoken on Steam: Only 48 percent agreement
The game, penned by Luminous Productions and publisher Square Enix, will soon have 800 reviews on Steam, of which only 48 percent are currently positive (as of January 25th at 11:20 am). the player numbers can be seen to some extent. The peak value yesterday was 12,579 players (possibly also due to the demo), while about half of them are currently using Forspoken is busy. For a price of 80 euros, players naturally expect a reasonably implemented game. It is therefore not surprising that the decision to leave a negative review is easier to make. In any case, the comments give an idea of where the dissatisfaction among the players comes from.
Some users complain that the camera rotates uncontrollably in the game. Another describes Forspoken as a cutscene simulator. The cutscenes don’t seem to appeal to many Steam users. You can also read about game crashes, performance problems despite powerful hardware and poor graphics. Almost nobody is really satisfied with the price of 80 euros.

But there are also positive reviews that report that Forspoken runs smoothly. As far as the graphics and the design of the open game world are concerned, tastes are known to differ. All in all, if you take the evaluation of the critics in advance and the player reviews as an opportunity, it can be said that Forspoken has made a clear false start.
