Strand: New buffs and debuffs

As usual, with a new element comes new effects that affect enemies affected by the element. For example, if you create a new object with Strang, it’s called Weave. If you defeat an opponent with a strand, then he will decomposed (almost dissolved) and a tangle arises. This tangle persists for a few moments and explodes when you destroy it. Tangles can also be picked up and thrown. Yay, more chaos!

The debuffs do the following:

  • Tie: A bound PvE enemy is lifted off the ground for a short time and can do virtually nothing. In PvP, while bound players are lifted off the ground, they can move (albeit slowly) and shoot to defend themselves.
  • Decompose: Attacking a decomposed enemy causes threads to burst from the target and attack nearby targets. If one of these is hit, it will also decompose.
  • Tear: A torn enemy can do less in the material world, ergo it deals less damage.

There is also a buff that some guardians will not like, especially in PvP. The main buff introduced with Strang is called Braided Armor. This ability envelops Guardians in a protective web of strand matter, reducing incoming damage. Note: In PvP, Braided Armor only reduces physical damage; Headshots and melee damage remain normal.
