Which Pokemon is it? Starting today, February 8, 2022, Pokemon GO is running the Valentine’s Day event where you can meet the Normal Pokemon Coiffwaff. What is special about this dog-like monster is its penchant for a wide variety of hairstyles, which is why it can have a total of 9 different shapes.

One of these forms is the so-called heart cut, which you can secure in the coming days. What you have to consider and how long you have time for it, we have summarized below.

This is how you get your coiffwaff with a heart cut

How do you get the heart shape? Unlike most other Pokémon, you can’t just catch Coiffwaff’s different forms in the wild, you have to transform them into this form yourself. This is very easy, but costs you a lot of stardust.

First you have to catch a coiffwaff (shaggy shape). This is the standard form. Once that’s done, you have to do the following to give him a heart cut:

Select the Coiffwaff you want in your Pokemon Bag
Now click on the “Change shape” button
Now you have the opportunity to choose one of the available shapes, for example the heart cut.
Once you have chosen your desired shape, all you have to do is confirm the change by clicking on “Change shape” and you have saved the heart shape.

By the way: In this way you can change the shapes again and again. So you don’t always have to use a shag-shaped hairdresser’s weapon, you can also adapt any other shape.

How expensive is the shapeshift? To change the shape of Coiffwaff to another, you have to pay 10,000 Stardust and 25 Coiffwaff Candy per change.

How long do you have for the heart cut? With the change of shape, Coiffwaff does not have the only special feature, because you cannot always and everywhere secure the different haircuts. The heart cut is only available to you during the Valentine’s Day event.

So you only have the opportunity to give your Coiffwaff this shape from February 8th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. local time to February 14th, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. local time. After that, it can no longer be changed to this haircut for the time being.

It is not yet officially known when it will be available next, but experience has shown that it will probably not be until the next Valentine’s Day event. So if you want to secure the heart cut, you had better hurry.

Here you can find Coiffwaff for the event: In order to get the shaggy form of Coiffwaff, you should be attentive in the game in the next few days. It spawns more frequently in the wild during the Valentine’s Day event.

Alternatively, you can also find the style-conscious dog in the level 1 raids and, with a bit of luck, in the research breakthrough of the month of February.

Is there a Shiny-Coiffwaff? Yes, the dazzling Varainate from Coiffwaff has been active in the game for a few months now. You can now also convert a dazzling example into the heart shape for the first time. In the picture below we show you what it looks like.

Is hairdresser strong? Coiffwaff is not particularly strong and it cannot benefit from any further developments. For this reason it is of particular interest to collectors and shiny hunters.
