The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom appears briefly for $70 on Nintendo eShop
What Nintendo has for us right away is a new Nintendo Direct which will come later. The company can finally reveal more details and gameplay for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, it seems to have prematurely revealed the price of the sequel on the Nintendo eShop. It was listed for $69.99 in the United States before being removed, as noted by leaker Wario64 on Twitter.
The eShop in Canada listed the price as CAD 89.99 and also removed it, Twitter user Lbabinz noted. It translates to $70, so there’s a good chance it’s legit. Nintendo has not confirmed the price, but if it is true, Tears of the Kingdom it would be their first title to encompass the $70 price tag, as Sony and recently Microsoft have done for their current-gen first-party titles.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12 for Nintendo Switch. It is rumored to be the last major title for the platform. The Nintendo Direct begins at 2 PM PST.
