More Elden Ring? From Software and Bandai have big plans!
Publishers Bandai Namco gave a glimpse into the future, which not only revolves around our own games, but also around current projects from partners in Japan. The trigger for this is, among other things, the enormous success of Elden ring. The title of FromSoftware was from critics and fans celebrated – and at the same time sold excellently. In August 2022, Bandai Namco last revealed the sales figures of Elden Ring. Above 16.6 million units have been implemented since February 2022.
Elden Ring exceeded expectations
In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz Arnaud Muller (CEO of Bandai Namco Europe) commented on the success of Elden Ring: “We’re very proud of the quality of the game, and we’re very happy with our relationship with From Software. We worked with From Software on the Dark Souls series, but Elden Ring takes the genre to a new level. The open world , the accessibility of the game, the depth… it definitely exceeded our – and the fans’ – expectations.”
Bandai Namco wants to bring more games to the West
If you want to play games from From Software and other Japanese development studios in the future, you should keep an eye on Bandai Namco. In the interview it says: “There is so much amazing content coming out of Japan that we look forward to in the years to come. And Elden Ring […] is just the beginning of it.” One of the highlights should Tekken 8 be, which was presented only recently. The series is one of the publisher’s best-known brands.
What’s next for Elden Ring?
It’s been over half a year since the launch of Elden Ring (buy now €53.98 /€53.99 ) past. Of course, fans want even more content for the title. Especially one DLC for the game has been part of the rumor mill for the past few months. However, nothing has been officially confirmed so far. From Software seems to be busy with another project at the moment. This is supposed to be a new part of Armored Core are in development.
