WoW: World Quest Reward Reason for Temporary Shutdown of Auction House
There was an item in the WoW: Dragonflight auction house that wasn’t supposed to be there. The developers therefore had to temporarily shut down the auction house completely and clean the auction house of this item.
With Season 1 of WoW: Dragonflight not only started M+ dungeons, the PvP season and the first raid for the first time, but also the Primal Storms event and new world quests came into play. One of the new world quests related to the start of the PvP season meant that the auction house had to be completely shut down in the meantime.
The World Quest Sparks of Life in the Azure Mountains rewards players with 8 on completion Trophies of Discord. This item is used to upgrade PvP gear. Apparently, however, the Blizzard developers forgot to make the trophies soulbound and so the auction house was flooded with trophies that players should actually only gradually earn.
Trophies for up to 100,000 gold in the auction house
As the authors of icy-veins report, there have been trophies of discord for up to 100,000 gold in the auction house. No wonder, because getting the best PvP gear immediately should have its price. After a few hours, however, the auction house was cleared of the item. What happened to the items that went to players is unclear. Perhaps these must be similar like the tailoring bug soon to serve a ban penalty.
The dealer for the trophy items, Malicia, is now back at its location in Valdrakken after the NPC had to be taken out of the game. The bug didn’t last long, but rich players may have been able to jump straight into the arena with the best PvP equipment. Because upgrading the PvP items sometimes only requires 5 trophies.
