WoW Patch 10.0.7: New catch-up gear makes storm events almost obsolete
In addition to the two elemental storm events, patch 10.0.7 of WoW: Dragonflight will offer a third way to get the thunderstorm items with item level 385. With luck, they are available via armor tokens.
You can currently get items with item level 385 relatively easily in WoW: Dragonflight. For this you need the elemental and Primal Storms Events to lock. You then buy with the collected elemental abundance Mythressa in Valdrakken a blue thunderstorm item and upgrade it with some storm seals to a 385 item. However, there is a limit to the amount of Storm Sigils you need per week.
With the release of Patch 10.0.7 collect these 385 armor pieces simply by rare opponents on the forbidden island defeated. If you’re lucky, the rares will drop an account-bound armor class token that you can send to your other characters.
Catch-Up Tokens in patch 10.0.7
cloth tokens
Leather Tokens
chain tokens
disk tokens
Various tokens
The token items are actually the same items you get by converting blue thunderstorm items. So if you’re currently completing the Elemental Storm events for these transmog sets, you might be able to save yourself some time because, with luck, they’ll be tokenized later and require less effort. Incidentally, the rares also have elemental abundance in their luggage, which also includes farming for Stormhide Salamanther makes easier. We don’t yet know how high the chance of the tokens dropping in the rare mobs is. Like you in ours Forbidden Island preview in patch 10.0.7 As you can see, there are plenty of them on the small island.
