Destiny 2 Xur Location and Items, Aug 6-10

The weekly Exotic Merchant Xur is found in random locations throughout the Destiny world. In Destiny 2, it can appear all over the map, as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur at Nessus, to the North of the Watchman tomb, stand over a big tree.

Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:

• Skyburner’s Oath, Solar Scout Rifle: 29 Legendary Shards
• Ophidia Spathe, Hunter’s Chest: 23 Legendary Shards
• Seperation Enclosure, Titan Chest: 23 Legendary Shards
• Otherworldly Eye, Warlock Helmet: 23 Legendary Shards
• Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now buy a second with an Exotic cipher)
• Exotic Cipher Lookup: Free

Xur’s items drop to a power level similar to your character’s.

Skyburner’s Oath

Skyburner’s Oath is a scout rifle inspired by the Cabal’s slug rifle. Your first exotic perk is Slug rifle, making the weapon more powerful when aiming downward and launching heat seeking grenades when firing from the hip. The second exotic benefit is For the empire. This perk makes the weapon fully automatic, deals bonus damage to Cabal enemies, and most importantly, penetrates Phalanx enemies’ shields.

All the perks of the Skyburner Oath make it sound great, but it’s a pretty mediocre weapon. It’s pretty unique when it comes to Destiny weapons though, so pick it up if you’re looking for something new.

Ophidia Spathe

The Ophidia Spathe The Exotic Advantage of the Chest Piece is Scissor fingers, which allows hunters to throw two knives per charge. This exotic is quite stylish, and throwing knives has always been fun to use in Destiny. This piece is also quite unique as it allows players to have two charges of their melee ability while simultaneously granting them two charges instantly upon recharging.

When combined with the subclass’s unique abilities, he can essentially constantly throw knives. It’s a really fun game style, and it’s definitely worth a try if you have a hunter.

Xur’s roll this week has a total of 60 stat points.

Compensation area

Compensation area is an exotic from Season of Dawn. Its exotic benefit is Spheromatik trigger. Elemental melee kills unleash an explosion. Finishers increase the range and power of the blast, as does the kills of more powerful enemies.

This exotic is unlikely to be useful for late game activities. But it’s a really cool effect if you’re just looking to run around the world of Destiny and hit things like the Titans usually do.

Eye of another world

The Brain uplink take advantage of Eye of another world it will highlight targets for you and passively increase the regeneration of your Grenade, Melee, and Rift skills. It’s one of the best exotics of the warlocks, and it’s certainly worth picking up if you don’t already have it.

Exotic Cipher Search

Starting at Beyond the light, Xur has a new search for an exotic cipher. Exotic Cipher allows you to purchase Old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the Tower. You will need these items and some other coins to collect exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

This week, Xur wants you to complete 21 Strikes or win Crucible or Gambit matches. Upon completion of the mission, you will get an Exotic Cipher to use however you like.
