Find in Pokémon GO shows new mega-Pokémon – This is how the community reacts

Many trainers in Pokémon GO use their mega developments in battles. Now a new one of these monsters has been found that will probably come into play soon. We took a look at what kind of monster it is and show you the reactions from the community.

What is a mega development? For some time now, Pokémon GO has been able to temporarily develop isolated monsters. These developments are then a little stronger, which is why they are mainly used in raids and rocket battles.

But the list of these mega-monsters is currently manageable. Now the PokeMiners, a group of Dataminers, have discovered a new mega development in the game code.

Who are the PokeMiners?
The PokeMiners are a group of dataminers that look for new information in the game code at regular intervals. They then make their findings available to other trainers and therefore publish them via their channels on social networks.

Even if the finds have often proven to be true in the past, this is not official information. This means that Niantic can make changes to the content at any time or the content does not come into play at all.

This mega development was found

The PokeMiners came across a new mega-development during their last search in the game code of Pokémon GO. They have now published their finds via their channels on Twitter and reddit. So you could soon come across mega-steelless in the mega raids.

The PokeMiners have not yet been able to determine the individual values of the monster. As can be seen from the comments, according to Pokebattler, these should look like this (via twitter.com):

  • Defense: 181
  • Attack: 212
  • Defense: 327

Mega Steelless can be temporarily developed from the Steel and Ground Pokémon Steelless. To do this, you need a certain amount of mega-energy, which you can then secure by winning the corresponding mega-raids. A development lasts for several hours.

When mega-steelless comes into play, the steel and floor types are also covered for the first time in the mega developments. So only the rock type would be missing.

This is how the community reacts to Mega-Stahlos

The community is rather divided about the current find of the PokeMiners. Some trainers are happy about such a release. Broad3000 writes on Twitter “Perfect! If it’s available, I can get my 100% [Stahlos] finally develop into a mega ”and shows a picture of the monster in question (via twitter.com).

But the appearance of the mega development also inspires the players. RyanSwag writes, “It’s definitely one of the coolest looking megas” (via twitter.com).

Bonbon-Bonus: Another advantage of the mega development is the candy bonus that it gives to other monsters of the type. If you have developed a Pokémon into a Mega, you will receive an extra piece of candy for catching the same type during this time.

For this reason, some trainers like Nplumb are happy about extra candy when igniting a Meltan box (via reddit.com)

Strength of the monster: However, there is also criticism of Mega-Stahllos. So cup_of_plates is looking forward to the monster, but finds its strength disappointing “quite exciting to see Mega-Stahlos. It looks neat and I like it. Too bad it won’t be that useful in PoGo, but I think it will. ” (via reddit.com).

Mega-Stahlos is unlikely to be particularly strong. This is mainly due to his moveset. Sirlight282 agrees: “Steel and floor mega-boost is nice, I think. But doesn’t change the fact that Mega Stahlos is pretty weak for PvE on its own. Edit: I just realized it doesn’t even have a quick ground attack, it’s even worse than I thought ”(via reddit.com).

For this reason, according to some coaches, it is rather boring, which is why they would have rather hoped for other mega developments.

That is what the trainers want

Since only one rock-type Mega Pokémon is missing after the release of Mega Steelless, some trainers express their wishes. BazF91 hopes for mega-aerodactyl, mega-despotar or mega-diancie (via reddit.com). Diancie is a 6th generation monster of the rock and fairy type, which is not yet available in its normal form in the game.

Ben_Faulstick, however, is sure which monsters will come: “I assume that we will get Stahlos in the first half of December and Mega Firnontor towards the end of the year.” (via twitter.com).

When the time will ultimately come and which monsters will actually appear in the game cannot be said at the moment and it therefore remains to be seen. If Niantic comments on this, you will of course find out from us on MeinMMO.

How do you find the current PokeMiners find? Would you look forward to Mega Steelless? Which monster would you wish for in its mega development? Feel free to write us your opinion here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers.

In the coming days, Hoopa (Unleashed) will celebrate its release in Pokémon GO. We took a look at what to expect at the Hoopa event.
