Pokémon GO: Spotlight hour today with Piplup and candy bonus

Today the last spotlight hour of November takes place in Pokémon GO and brings you Plinfa. We at MeinMMO have summarized for you which bonus awaits you and whether the event is worthwhile.

What kind of event is it about? Today, November 30, 2021, there will be another spotlight hour for the trainers in Pokémon GO. This is a weekly short event that focuses on a specific monster. This then spawns more frequently in the wild and also brings you a special bonus.

This week, the last spotlight hour takes place in November and brings you the Water Pokémon Piplup. There is also a special candy bonus waiting for you.

Spotlight hour with Plinfa – Start, Bonuses and Shiny

When does the event start? As every Tuesday, the event starts at 6:00 p.m. local time. You then have an hour to use the bonus and catch as many Plinfa as possible. The event will end again at 7:00 p.m. local time.

What bonuses are there? During the spotlight hour, you will see wild Piplup everywhere. With the help of a smoke you can also attract more specimens. In addition, the short event brings you double candy when catching Pokémon.

Is there a Shiny Piplup? Yes, Plinfa can also be found in the game in its dazzling version. With a little luck you will come across such a specimen. It has a slightly lighter, blue body than the normal variant.

Is it worth the limelight hour with Plinfa?

This is how strong it is: Piplup is a 4th generation Water Pokémon and, along with Chelast and Panflam, is one of the starter Pokémon of the Sinnoh region. It can be further developed into Impoleon via Pliprin.

However, the monster is not strong. Its two further developments also do not play a decisive role in raids and the PvP league. Only Impoleon would be a solid option for the Super League, but there are better alternatives there too (via pvpoke.com).

Who is the limelight hour worthwhile for? Piplup is especially interesting for shiny hunters. These are definitely getting their money’s worth today. Trainers who are looking for a strong monster for raids or the PvP league will probably not find it today.

And the candy bonus is probably of little interest to many trainers today. If you still want to use it, you can alternatively open your wonder box during the spotlight hour and farm a few Meltan candies. But be careful not to put any additional smoke, because that won’t work.
