Badminton: TSV Trittau without a chance in the Bundesliga third

No chance in Wipperfeld: Badminton Bundesliga club TSV Trittau had to admit defeat to third in the table with 0: 7 in less than two hours, remains penultimate with a meager six points from nine games and will probably also go into the relegation position into the new year.

First round final for Trittau in the Badminton Bundesliga

“There was really nothing to get for us,” said TSV veteran Alexander Strehse, “so it is all the more important that we score points in Bonn on Sunday.” The first round final of the Stormarns will take place there at 11 o’clock at 1. BC Bump. But before the game, Strehse in particular had a long night waiting.

Strehse with a night shift at the airport

After the defeat in Wipperfeld, they went to a hotel in Cologne, then Strehse first drove to Düsseldorf Airport to collect initial reinforcements for the important game in the relegation battle. Then it went on to Cologne Central Station, where Ary Trisnanto arrived in the evening. And the last stop was the airport in Cologne, where more Trittau regulars were expected at 0.40 a.m., all of whom were in action at Italian International in Milan.

Competitor Beuel also comes away empty-handed

But through the night shift, the Stormarn hope to be able to compete with the relegation competitor with a powerful team, so as not to lose sight of the safe bank early on. After all: Beuel couldn’t score on Saturday either, losing his home game against Blau-Weiß Wittorf-Neumünster 2: 5, so he is only three points ahead of TSV.

The game in Bonn is only the first trend-setting match of the Trittauer in the coming weeks. At the start of the second half of the season on January 15 and 16, Strehse and Co. have to compete against relegation competitors Schorndorf and Neuhausen. “These games are just as important as the game against Beuel. But if we all have men on board, we can take important steps towards relegation, ”says Strehse confidently. The first step should and must be taken in Bonn on Sunday.
