Destiny 2: Weekly Reset on December 21st – The beginning mood and last tests of courage

In Destiny 2, it’s raining presents and lots of shiny dust – there is a festive atmosphere of dawn. So that you know what to expect this Christmas week, we at MeinMMO bring you up to date and reveal what is worth this week.

This is what happens this week: You now only have two weeks left to earn the breakaway weapons with good rolls. With the new perks that Bungie added, the weapons have become more powerful. You can also get the first stasis sword this way.

This week the last triumph “Fateful twist” with the seal “30 years of Bungie” can be locked. If you defeat the Minotaur in Xur’s “Trials of Eternity”, you can “burst with joy” and pick up the helmet ornament “Terrible Symmetry” in his treasure chamber.

Otherwise, the new dungeon “Suction of Greed” is the current content highlight in Destiny 2. But the players, just like Wilhelm-7 once, have fallen for loot and are on a treasure hunt for the perfect roll for the Eyasluna handgun and the new one “Artful armor” sets with a unique advantage.

The Twilight: The Trial by Fire this week is the Strike:

  • Proving ground, Nessus
    • Caitl’s tank on Nessus awaits you at dusk. The once underrated Strike is challenging and demands the battle of Champions of Mankind against Champions of the Cabal to determine the fate of the Last City.
  • These twilight weapons are currently available:
    • The hothead, arc rocket launcher (master)
    • Disagreement SR4, Kinetic Scout Rifle (Master)
  • Playlist strikes have these modifiers:
    • Empty
    • Heavyweight
    • Grounded
    • The scorching modifier is with you all week, the others change daily.
  • Weekly bonus this week:
    • This week you get a boost to the Gambit reputation ranks.

That happens in the raid “Glass chamber“:

  • In the Glass Chamber, the challenge is to “get out of the way”. Prevents the Templar boss from teleporting even once. At least one guardian (usually the relic bearer) must jump into the blue-red marked spots in the arena.
  • As a reward, a time-lost weapon is waiting in the raid’s challenge mode. This week it is again the fateful charm in a cool silver-chrome look. You can get them there with an explosive charge and fireflies – an explosive mixture! The weapon also comes with guaranteed 2 perks per slot. But always keep in mind that hard and normal mode share the loot.

Seasonal Activity – Shattered Empire:

  • This week, if you want to discover the mysteries and find anchors, the “Ruins of Anger” await you in the Shattered Realm of the Ascendant Plane.

At Tess in Eververse there are again some cosmetic items on offer that might still be missing from your collection. This week your ghost will be very happy if you treat him to a scratchy, old-fashioned, green and red Christmas sweater. But please wrap up nicely.

Don’t forget your gloss dust gift: If you are short of shiny dust, you should look straight into the Eververse after the weekly reset. Bungie is already giving you large packages of shiny dust in the third week. You just have to pick them up at Tess and you can then shop for cosmetics.
