PS Plus: The 2021 free games were worth as much as 24 times PS Plus

The PS Plus games in 2021 were worth almost € 1500.

The games included in PS Plus are of course not really free – after all, you have to pay for Sony’s subscription service to access the titles. But it is still worth it, because this year not only popular games such as Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Days Gone, Control, Battlefield 5 or A Plague Tale: Innocence were included – the bill also paid off in monetary terms.

The PS Plus games in 2021 were worth it

Almost 1500 euros in PS Plus include: 40 titles were featured on PS Plus this year for PS4, PS5 and PSVR. Taken together, that adds up to a lot: the games cost 1,439.60 euros (as of December 2, 2021.) For the annual membership to PS Plus, you pay 59.99 euros, so the bill should pay off pretty quickly. Which of the games on offer were of interest to you at all, or whether you already own some of them, is of course another topic.

At least according to Metacritic, the games were mostly very positive. The average rating of the PS Plus titles is 72 points. Final Fantasy 7 Remake gets the best with 87 points while Tennis World Tour with 45 points by far brings up the rear.

More than 2020: So this year comes together a lot more than in 2020. For comparison, in the previous year there were a total of 28 games, which were worth a total of just under 620 euros.

PS5 is worth it: Owners of a PS5 also get a lot for their money. The games that were only available for Sony’s latest console were worth a total of 319.89 euros. Conversely, this also means that anyone who only has a PS4 will not see anything.
