The Sims 4 Roadmap 2022 – Everything about expansion packs, sets and updates
There will also be new content for the Sims 4 in 2022.
The Sims 4 is the epitome of a game that is kept alive by supplies. Since the popular life simulation was published in 2014, the expansions, packs, sets and updates have been stacking higher and higher. After all these years, the call for The Sims 5 is getting louder, but that doesn’t mean The Sims 4 will end in 2022.
We can expect more new content for The Sims 4 in the next few months, that’s for sure. In order not to lose the overview, we have here a collection of the confirmed and speculated extensions and updates for you.
Notice: This article will be continually updated as there is new information about expansions, sets, and other new content. We exclude simple patches and concentrate on noteworthy new content.
Most recently, the “Simthing to Celebrate” announcement gave us a rough look at a new gameplay pack, two sets, and other surprises.
Expansion packs
So far, no new major expansion for 2022 has been announced, but someone has introduced himself in a stream as “Senior Game Designer and Lead Designer on an upcoming The Sims 4 Expansion Pack”.
The extensive extensions usually contain new functions, objects for the construction and CAS mode and often also a new neighborhood. In the past they cost around 40 euros.

Gameplay-Packs
The gameplay packs are less extensive. But here, too, new functions, objects and sometimes new worlds await us. So far, these small extensions have cost around 20 euros.
A new pack by the end of March: The teased new gameplay pack is supposed to celebrate “love”. According to the symbols on the announcement picture, it should be about weddings:

Accessories-Packs
For around 10 euros, the accessory packs primarily offer new items such as furniture, hairstyles, clothes and whatever else is available for the construction and CAS modes.
There have been no announcements about the accessory packs yet.
Kits/Sets
The kits or sets concentrate on a few new building objects, decorations or outfits and are available for around 5 euros.
Two new sets by the end of March: Two sets have been announced that will “celebrate exceptional fashion designs.” Here, too, the symbols, like a mask, allow speculation. Maybe it’s going in the direction of carnival.
Sims Delivery Express
New content for the Sims 4 doesn’t always have to cost anything. In the past, new objects like loft beds were always added for free. There have also been scenarios since the end of last year. These are official challenges that have so far been limited in time. Such content is now finding its way into the game through “Sims Delivery Express” updates.
January 10th – Traditional Korean outfits and New Year’s scenario
There are new Korean outfits at the beginning of the year.

What are the general updates in the future?
Gender-neutral salutation: EA and Maxis announced a long time ago that they wanted to make changes to the pronouns. The project is currently being examined. We should receive more information on this in January 2022.
Revised NPCs: In addition, we can expect revised characters like Bella Grusel, for whom the first concepts have already been seen.
There’s more to come: In addition to new packs and sets, EA and Maxis indicated further surprises for the first quarter of 2022. Among other things, it should be about the “unique collaboration of the community inside and outside the game” as well as “free food from all over the world”.
