Pokémon GO: Environment Event Brings New Pokémon and Shiny – All Bonuses

In Pokémon GO, Environment Week 2022 starts on Wednesday and brings the new Pokémon Commander and Shiny Kikugi. We show you everything about the start, bonuses and the content.

What is this event? Environment Week is an event that runs annually in Pokémon GO. This year, a new Pokémon from the seventh generation of the game makes its debut. Also, new shinys will be released. You will be rewarded if you move outside.

Here is an overview of everything you need to know about the event.

Environment Week 2022 – Start, new Pokémon, bonuses

When does it start? Environment Week 2022 starts on Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. local time. The event will then be active for a few days and will end on Monday, April 25 at 20:00 local time.

New Pokemon: The Pokémon Commander appears for the first time in Pokémon GO. It comes from the seventh generation of the game and belongs to the types Normal and Psycho. It has no further development.

New Shiny: As a new Shiny you will find Kikugi for the Environment Week. The Pokémon comes from the fourth generation of the game and has been in the game for a long time in its normal form.

The bonuses: There will be limited research at Community Day on April 23 with Velursi. In each stage of research you should walk one kilometer. For this you will receive Kikugi as a reward. For every trainer who runs at least 5 kilometers that day, Niantic will plant a tree (maximum 100,000 trees).

Nature is the focus of the collector’s task for the event. If you master the task, you will make progress towards your Top Collector medal. There is also a Moss Lure Module and 15 Super Balls.

In addition, during the event there will be double the XP for the first spin of a PokéStop.

Alolan Digda*, Larvitar*, Kikugi*, Commander Moss module:

• During the event, you will receive a free Moss Lure Module in a box. This attracts the following Pokémon during the event:
• Duflor, Ultrigaria, Endive*, Chelcarain, Kikugi, Strawickl

With luck you will meet: Alola-Digda*, Blubella, Nincada* Field research:

• For completing field research tasks, you will receive encounters with:
• Chelast*, Kikugi*, Serpifeu*, Unratütox*, Igamarao or Paragoni

In addition, some researches will give you Mega Energy for Bisaflor or Rexblisar
