New World is merging more and more servers – But the German worlds that survive are now really full

The MMORPG New World developed by Amazon Games has once again merged some servers over the Easter weekend. This also includes servers on which the majority of German-speaking players are active. MeinMMO shows you which servers have been merged and where most of the players are now.

Why is New World merging servers? When the MMORPG was released, so many players were playing New World that the servers were full and players were waiting in queues. Amazon Games had to open more servers.

However, the number of players continued to decrease over time. As a result, many servers were suddenly quite empty and it was difficult to find players. Amazon Games Server is merging so that the servers are full again and “New World” players can find other players more easily or compete in PvP battles.

As a result, New World, for example, has one full server instead of three less well-attended servers. The players themselves notice the merger mainly due to the resulting increase in the number of players on Aeternum.

Amazon Games merges numerous servers

What servers did New World merge? In central Europe, Amazon Games recently merged the following servers:

• Asgard, Hades, Hellheim, Fae, and Caer Sidi are now part of Abaton
• Styx, Antillia, Utgard and Learad merged with Aaru
• Lyonesse and Nysa have been merged
• Bifrost, Niflheim, Bengodi, and Kor have been merged into Tir Na Nog
• Arcturus becomes part of Tartarus

How many players are on which servers? The servers Aaru and Evonium are currently among the most popular servers among German players. Especially on Aaru, the global chat seems to be dominated by German players.

With the recent addition of the recent server merge, Aaru and Evonium reached up to 1,600 concurrent players during the Easter Wedding Weekend (via nwdb.info). The streets were packed and even the faction wars were in full swing.

The battle for resources has begun

What are the advantages and disadvantages? If you’ve previously struggled to find fellow players or help with quests, that should change now. At the peak times between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., player searches and company recruitments can be read regularly.

PvP players can also rejoice. The faction wars for the individual territories are in full swing again and are enjoying great participation.

April has been a busy month for New World players so far. In addition to the Easter event and renewed server mergers, the biggest content update for the MMORPG to date came with “Heart of the Madness” at the end of March.
