Todesfelde dominates top league game in Eichede

The Ernst-Wagener-Stadion was almost empty when the die-hard fans of SV Todesfelde wanted to see their winning team again in the guest block. “We’re number one in the country,” they sang exuberantly in the best spring weather.

With 5:1 (1:1) the SVT shot the leader SV Eichede in the top league game from their own stadium and set a real exclamation point in the title fight. “That was a statement from the team,” said goalscorer Marco Pajonk.

836 fans at the top game in the Oberliga

Everything was arranged for a football festival of the two best teams in the Flens Oberliga, who have registered for the regional league. The anticipation was huge and 836 spectators provided the right setting. At the beginning, a tactical game developed between the two teams.

Coach Denny Skwierczynski made four changes for the hosts compared to the game against Eckernförde (2-0). The injured Mika Clausen replaced the suspended Jonathan Stöver (fifth yellow card). The future St. Paulian provided the first highlight in the first round.

Rathjen puts Eichede in the lead

After a pass from Fynn Rathjen, he made it 1-0 (25th), which he started with a spirited solo run (Todesfeld’s Til Weidemann couldn’t stop him in midfield). The home side had a little more of the game and could have gone into the break with a lead given the other chances from Wittig (10′), Rathjen (36′) and Clausen (42′).

But thanks to “spoilsport” Morten Liebert it was 1:1. The robust SVT goalgetter was successful with a direct acceptance after a cross from Rafael Krause (43rd). Team boss Sven Tramm used the dressing room speech to remind his team of their own match plan – with success:

Todesfelde gets drunk in the second half

After the change of sides, Kai-Fabian Schulz & Co. literally got into a frenzy after a lightning start. One goal was more beautiful than the other. Pajonk (48th), Turbomann Krause with a brace (52nd, 68th) and again Liebert (90th + 4) after a long shot from goalkeeper Fabian Landvoigt shot out the brilliant victory. In addition, Mats Klüver failed with a post crash (59th).

“Tofe” was totally ripped off and clever and convinced with passion, irrepressible will and team spirit, while the performance of the helpless hosts in the second section was desolate. In addition, the guests had the better goalkeeper between the posts. SVE substitute captain Marc Lindenberg & Co. left the pitch like watered poodles.

“This is a bitter failure. You have to acknowledge that Todesfelde deserved to win. Although the result turned out to be a bit too high,” summed up a disappointed Skwierczynski. “In the second half we weren’t as present and consistent. The goals from Todesfelde were worth seeing.” His defense chief Hendrik Ostermann quarreled: “The first half looked really good and we can increase. After the break we quickly make it 2-1 and then don’t get back into the game.”

Victory is “worth its weight in gold” for the guests

Understandably, only happy faces were seen among the guests. “It was great what my boys did in the second half. It is second to none,” said Tramm happily. “The win is fully deserved. To win 5:1 in Eichede is a house number!” Emanuel Bento de Lima was also totally flashed by the impressive fireworks of his team at the old place of work and said: “To deliver against a big opponent as a collective is just great.” Pajonk described it Victory worth its weight in gold.

Eichede does not give up hope

Was that a preliminary decision in the title fight? “If we move together with our whole squad, a lot is possible,” emphasized “Trammer”. Eichede remains at the top of the table (18 points) after the nasty swatter in the catch-up game, but has played two more matches than Todesfelde (16 points). Since the performances in the previous promotion round games were anything but convincing, it should be difficult. “It was only one game today, we still have a few games left,” Ostermann hasn’t given up hope – just like Skwierczynski: “The season won’t be decided this weekend…”

SV Eichede: Gevert – Pichelmann, Lindenberg, Ostermann, Arndt (71st Steinfeldt) – Rathjen (71st Meyer), Zaske (61st Albrecht) – Wittig (61st Lahrtz), Clausen, Dombrowski – Arp (77th Bieche).

SV Todesfelde: Landvoigt – Sirmais, Schulz, Rave, Blohm – Weidemann (71st Holst, 86th Sabas), Klüver, Bento de Lima, Krause (86th Studt) – Pajonk (79th Gelbrecht), Liebert.
