What did Asmongold say? Asmongold spoke very positively about streamers using an anime-style avatar: “I think it’s funny, I think it’s smart, and I think it’s like a hack for streamers.”

Is it really against Twitch policies? Yes, indeed. Under the point “Content identification” it is pointed out that intentional and comprehensive misuse of titles, tags or games/categories is prohibited (via Twitch.tv). So far, however, there has been no consequence for the streamers.
What are additional problems with incorrect tag usage? In addition to the problem that users do not find the content they want, smaller streams are catapulted even further down. It’s already difficult to get discovered on Twitch when larger streams are at the forefront.
