Outriders shows first major expansion “Worldslayer” – Brings new weapons, story, enemies and endgame

The new expansion “Worldslayer” for the loot shooter Outriders has been officially presented and includes a trailer. You can find out what awaits you in the expansion here.

When is the Worldslayer expansion coming? The major expansion to Outriders will be released on June 30, 2022. It will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, as well as Google Stadia and GeForce NOW.

What’s in the DLC? Basically, the expansion picks up where Outriders left off: the game continues to focus on brutal shooter action in connection with strong skills and the loot search.

Among other things, you can look forward to a new weapon rarity: The “Apocalypse” weapons are a touch stronger than the legendary weapons in Outriders – because they bring an extra mod slot with them. There will also be new mods.

However, they will not be easy to get: Because the new “Apocalypse” levels replace previous challenge ranks and go up to level 40.

It’s all embedded in a new story centered around Judgment Day. The last remnant of humanity that is still left on Enoch is facing its final end – of course you want to prevent that.

For this you have to travel to new regions, survive new missions and further develop your skills.

Ice and snow storms now plague Enoch. There are not only new enemy variants, but also completely new types of enemies. Your opponent is the dark ruler Ereshkigal.

New features in Worldslayer:

• You can unlock a secondary skill tree that provides two sub-classes to your original classes.
• A new, long-term advancement system is also being added, allowing you to boost Stamina, Brutality, Prowess, and Anomaly Power. In this way, your Outriders can become stronger and stronger – even beyond the previous borders.
• Last but not least, there is a big change to the endgame. Once you’ve defeated Ereshkigal and her minions, you can take on the challenge of Tarya Cratar – but that’s to be revealed at a later date.
