The Halo Infinite community has been eagerly awaiting the start of Season 2, and now we also officially know what new game modes are coming. Three fresh or returning game variants await you when “Lone Wolfs” begins on May 3rd:

  • King of the Hill
  • country grave
  • Last Spartan Standing

What is Last Spartan Standing? If you think of a Battle Royale when you hear the name, you’re right, because that’s what Last Spartan Standing is all about. Even before the release of Infinite, there were always rumors about such a game variant, and in a few days the time has finally come (via haloway point).

Here’s what we know about the Battle Royale in Halo Infinite

Yes, Last Spartan Standing is basically a Battle Royale, but those who expected huge battles will unfortunately be disappointed. Just twelve Spartans are thrown into a Big Team Battle Arena and must fight to survive – each for themselves – as the play area shrinks.

There are respawns: In a classic battle royale, if you get caught, you’re eliminated. In Last Spartan Standing, this is only the case after the sixth death. If you have used up your five respawns, you can watch or leave the match.

You compete with these weapons: Every Spartan starts with a “restricted loadout”. Through kills, assists, and collecting the remains of defeated enemies, you can earn new and better bangers. You cannot find any weapons in Battle Royale on the map itself. Vehicles are also disabled.

Two new maps: You can play Last Spartan Standing on the new Big Team Battle Map “Breaker”. For smaller battles, the “Catalyst” arena is also available with Season 2.

More Halo news:

Those are the other two modes

King of the Hill: I probably don’t have to say much about King of the Hill. A neutral hill will spawn on the map, which the two parties will fight over. If a Spartan enters the area without being attacked, it is considered captured and generates points for you. After a while, the “hill” will jump to a different spot on the map.

country tomb: Land Grab is much more chaotic than King of the Hill, because there are three neutral areas to conquer here. However, you do not have to defend this, but receive a point immediately as soon as the area is secured. Good team coordination is required here.

Season 2 “Lone Wolfs” starts on May 3rd.
