One of the most exciting canceled Elden Ring content discovered so far is the Coliseums. They can be found in Limgrave, Caelid and Leyndell. Since they are locked, we can only look at them from the outside. The modder Lance McDonald has already given us a look inside. Sekiro Dubi has now managed to turn one of the arenas into a brutal battlefield again.

Brutal arena fight

It’s all about this: So far, the Colosseums have given us many mysteries. One of the questions the community is asking is: who should be fighting who there? Sekiro Dubi can shed some light on the matter and even provides us with illustrative material.

Enemies in the arena: The modder found hundreds of so-called “dummy” opponents in the map files. This means that these are not rendered. Among them were the Gladiator Large and the Old Lion of Arena.

The modder brought these two battle-ready NPCs back to the Leyndell coliseum. The video shows them attacking each other in the arena. That looks pretty cool with the imposing spectator area. Here you can see for yourself:

More on Elden Ring:

Colosseum remains mysterious

Unfortunately, this new discovery does not reveal exactly what our arena experience should look like. However, Sekiro Dubi was also able to restore a grace inside the building, clearly showing that at some point in development FromSoftware planned for us to enter the Coliseum.

The modder also points out that a talisman can be found in front of the walls, the description of which reveals more about the arenas: The text gives an indication that in the days before Radagon people trained in the coliseums, but now only remnants of the buildings bear witness to this.

The intriguing question this raises is: will a DLC take us back in time and grant us access to the arenas? This could also be extremely interesting storywise. However, it could also simply be deleted content.

What do you think we would have expected in the Colosseum – or what else will await us in a DLC?
