Zelda Ocarina of Time: This fan remake looks amazing and you can play it
Zelda: Ocarina of Time still looks great in the romanticized memories of many fans. In fact, the original (and its emulation on the Nintendo Switch) looks pretty dated and anything but pretty these days. Accordingly, there are many efforts to let the cult classic shine in new splendor. How this one, which has been running for quite a while, is getting nicer and even playable.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time even features co-op in the fan remake
Zelda Fan Remake Videos: There are many Ocarina of Time. Some of these also look extremely impressive, but serve more as a showcase, finger exercise, homage or pastime. How good Zelda: OoT could look like in Unreal Engine 5, for example, you can see in these highly recommended videos:
Not just pretty: But what modder and Zelda superfan CryZENx has been hosting for over a decade goes well beyond all of the above. It is obviously not only important to people to make Ocarina of Time look as good as possible, but it should also be playable – for everyone, even in co-op multiplayer for up to four people.

But beware! Nintendo is notorious for not speaking well of fan projects of this type. To be honest, we’re quite surprised that the whole thing hasn’t yet been covered with a copyright warning and takedown notices, but is still online. Accordingly, you might want to hurry up if you want to play this fan version of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. However, the wait could be worth it: CryZENx wants to switch to Unreal Engine 5 soon.
