Pokémon GO: field research in May 2022, these quests are worth it

The new field research (quests) in May 2022 at Pokémon GO are here. We’ll show you which ones are worth it.

What’s new? Developer Niantic regularly changes what content Pokémon GO players can earn in field research.

There are new quests for this month as well, and we’ll show you which of them are worthwhile for you and which you can ignore.

Field Research in May 2022: Catch

Catch Researches: The following research is about catching specific amounts of Pokémon or using tools to do so.

• Catch 5 Pokemon
  • Reward: Dusklight*, Shuppet*, or Traunfugil* encounter
• Catch 7 Pokemon
  • Reward: Encounter with Magikarp*
• Catch 5 different types of Pokémon
  • Reward: Encounter with Owei*
• Catch a Dragon-type Pokémon
  • Reward: encounter with Dratini* or Childworm*
• Catch 5 Pokémon with Weather Boost
  • Reward: Vulpix*, Quapsel*, Hippopotas*, or Shnebedeck* encounter
• Use 5 berries when catching Pokémon
  • Reward: Encountering Ledyba*, Webarak* or Yanma*

Which ones are worth it? Above all, the task with the dragon Pokémon can be worthwhile for you, because Brutalanda and Dragoran are among the best dragon attackers in Pokémon GO.

Field research in May 2022: throwing

Throw Researches: In this type of research, it is important to land well, great, or fabulous throws in a targeted manner. Sometimes even several times in a row.

• Land 5 good throws
  • Reward: Encountering Dummisel*
• Land 3 great throws
  • Reward: encounter with Snubbull*, Liliep* or Anorith*
• Land 3 great throws in a row
  • Reward: Encounter with Onix*
• Land 5 great curveball shots in a row
  • Reward: Encounter with Pandir*
• Land a fabulous throw
  • Reward: encounter with Dratini*
• Land 3 fabulous throws in a row
  • Reward: Encounter with Kaumalat*

Which ones are worth it? For the collectors among you, it is worth solving the Pandir quest. This month Form #7 is available as a reward. In addition, Dratini and Kaumalat are exciting Pokémon, since the advancement Dragoran and Garchomp are among the best dragon attackers. Garchomp is also one of the best ground attackers in Pokémon GO.

Field research in May 2022: fighting

Fighting Researches: In these quests you should fight against other trainers or in raids.

• Win a raid
  • Reward: Encountering Galar Zigzachs*
• Win a level 3 raid or higher
  • Reward: encounter with Amonitas* or Kabuto*
• Win 5 raids
  • Reward: Encounter with Aerodactyl*
• Fight in the Battle League
  • Reward: Encounter with Hydropi*

Which ones are worth it? For collectors, the quest that gives you an encounter with Galar Zigzachs is worthwhile. The Pokémon is quite rare and the Shiny is highly regarded by collectors.

Field Research in May 2022: Breeding and Power-Ups

Egg and Power-Up Researches: Here you should hatch different amounts of eggs or provide your Pokémon with power-ups.

• Hatch an egg
  • Reward: Encounter with Mantax* or Klikk*
• Hatch 2 eggs
  • Reward: Encountering Tanhel*
• Use 3 power-ups on Pokémon
  • Reward: encounter with Bulbasaur*, Charmander* or Squirtle*
• Use 5 power-ups on Pokémon
  • Reward: encounter with Endive*, Karnimani* or Fiery Gel*
• Use 7 power-ups on Pokémon
  • Reward: encounter with Geckarbor*, Flemmli* or Hydropi*

Which ones are worth it? Tanhel and Klikk are fairly rare Pokémon that you can take with you on these quests.

Field research in May 2022: General

General Quests: For these quests you should, among other things, redeem cryptos, take snapshots or turn photo discs.

• Take a snapshot of a Pokémon in the wild
  • Reward: encounter with Hopsprocket*, Yanma* or Kramurx*
• Take a snapshot of a Water-type Pokémon in the wild
  • Reward: Encountering Remoraid*
• Evolve a Pokemon
• Spin 3 Photo Discs at PokéStops or Gyms
  • Reward: Encounter with Sham Tree*
• Spin 5 Photo Discs at PokéStops or Gyms
  • Reward: Encounter with Trasla*
• Redeem a Shadow Pokémon
  • Reward: encounter with Kanivanha
• Earn 5 hearts with your buddy
  • Reward: Encounter with Pikachu*
• Earn a candy by walking with your buddy
  • Reward: encounter with Yorkleff*
• Earn two candies by walking your buddy
  • Reward: Encounter with Scoppel*
• Earn three candies by walking your buddy
  • Reward: Flun Ooze encounter
• Send 3 gifts with stickers
  • Reward: encounter with Jigglypuff*
• Trade a Pokemon
  • Reward: Encounter with Machamp*

Which ones are worth it? Exciting Pokémon in these quests are Cheat Tree, Trasla and Machamp. If you find quests of this type, they are worth doing. For this you get strong attackers for your collection.
