Fortnite will probably bring a big live event to the end of Season 2 – is it going into space?

The end of the current Season 2 of Chapter 3 in Fortnite is getting closer – and now there are also first indications of a big live event. Several leaks give hope for an exciting finale.

Here’s what’s going on in Fortnite: Update 20.40 went online in Fortnite today and brought back the well-known Kippwelt weapons, among other things. At the same time, the update brought new data into play, which the well-known leakers and data miners about Fortnite pounced on directly. And they found some interesting clues.

The leaks show: The leaker “iFireMonkey” shared Twitter a whole series of lines of code for gameplay that are to be used in a large event. This seems to be called “Armadillo” and judging by the lines of code it should lead to an explosive fight with tanks and missiles.

An interesting point: The topic “moon” comes up more often. For example, there seems to be a “moon pod” that gets entered and exited. That at least suggests that it could go in the direction of the moon and thus space. Shop backgrounds that iFireMonkey shares on Twitter also match the space motif.

It would also fit the “moon” theme that there have been several rumors in the past about an expansion of the Star Wars theme in Fortnite. Since the beginning of May you have been able to fight with lightsabers again and buy the well-known Star Wars skins in the shop. Now the Obi-Wan series is about to start – it is very conceivable that there will be a collaboration between Star Wars and Fortnite as in previous Star Wars films.

More leaks: Also in the subreddit “FortniteLeaks“, users share more leaks about the upcoming event. They suggest that the team leaders from previous seasons could play a role. It is also possible that there will be a longer downtime after the event.

Correct, official information about the event is not yet available. So far, these are only leaks that could come into play in a completely different form or not at all.

When does the event start? There is no official time here either, but the current Battle Pass runs until June 4th. This date would therefore be suitable for an event.

End of Season Live Event is already taking shape in Fortnite

This is what is happening in game right now: There is also a new development in Fortnite itself that is already live. A new POI has appeared in the middle of the map – the “Collider”. This massive device is teeming with IO troops.

It seems as if the IO have banded together here after the numerous bankruptcies in the battles against the seven in the past few weeks to prepare for the grand finale. The “Collider” is already being dubbed the new “Doomsday Device” by fans – and that in turn was the driving force behind the Season 2 End Event in Chapter 2.

But what exactly happens here at the end of the season will probably only become apparent in the coming weeks.
