GTA V has sold over 165 million, as have other Take Two franchises

Take-Two has announced the latest sales figures for its major blockbuster games. You can now find out how many millions of sales the two major titles GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have achieved so far.

The numbers keep rising

Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 165 million units to date, while Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold 44 million. The numbers come from Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two’s quarterly financial conference.

Overall, the games in the GTA series have been brought to gamers over 375 million times, and the upcoming mobile version for the remaster trilogy should certainly flush a few pennies into the till. The Red Dead series has now sold 67 million titles.

I’ll use the Call of Duty franchise for comparison. According to VGChartz all CoD games together have sold around 400 million copies. The GTA series has come dangerously close to that.

These encouraging numbers reflect the continued success of the two major series. Other franchises also shine with their sales figures.

Borderlands 3 has sold 15 million copies so far, and the entire series has now sold 75 million copies.
