Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 editions, pre-order bonus and beta details leaked

New details about the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from developer Infinity Ward have apparently been leaked through an update for Call of Duty Vanguard.

As Charlie Intel reports, dataminers have discovered various references to Modern Warfare 2 in the files of the new update.

These details seem to give us the first information about the editions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the bonuses for pre-orders and the beta.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but it looks like there will be three different editions. Each of these gives PlayStation players early access to an open beta when they pre-order.

The editions are therefore the standard edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, there should also be a cross-gen bundle and a vault edition.

The most expensive variant therefore contains the following:

• Battle Pass (1 Season) + 50 tier skips
• Red Team Operator Pack: Ghost, Soap, Price, Farah
• FJX Cinder Weapon Vault
• 10 hours of 2XP and 10 hours of 2WXP
• Ghost Legacy Pack: 12 Operator Skins and 10 Weapon Blueprints

The beta benefit for PlayStation users shouldn’t come as a surprise, as there have been a number of benefits for players on Sony’s console over the past few years.

Yesterday Activision confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28, 2022.
