F1 22: Trailer introduces the new features

F1 22 (Rennspiel) von Electronic Arts

The release of the racing simulation F1 22 is fast approaching, soon we will be able to intervene in the events of the current season. A new trailer shows which new features can be expected.

From July 1st, the traffic light will turn green for all friends of a well-groomed lap in the cockpit of an F1 car. Of course, all current teams, drivers and tracks of the current season are included. Of course, the latter were also given the latest layout changes.

What’s new?

Announced in the trailer, the driving physics were given an extensive update and even more emphasis was placed on realism. For example, a pit stop can go haywire and cost you the victory you thought was certain. Also included in the game are the sprint races and extracurricular activities outside of the cockpit. The material shown already makes a good impression in the trailer until it comes to the second half of the feature overview.

F1 Life instead of story mode

As already known, the story mode was removed from the predecessor, instead there is now F1 Life. Here the player should be able to experience the mundane life of a racing driver himself – also at the wheel of super sports cars, which are also celebrating their debut in F1 22. However, the furnishing and dressing element could annoy many fans, because it has little to do with experiencing the fascination of racing and acts much more like a filler who panders to develop previously untapped buyers.
