Horizon Call of the Mountain has apparently received a massive graphics upgrade
Horizon Call of the Mountain takes the world of developer studio Guerrilla to the next level. The PSVR 2 game lets us marvel at the long-necked machines in virtual reality and will likely be featured in more detail at Sony’s State of Play tonight. However, the associated mini teaser already shows that a lot has happened to the graphics of the game. In a direct comparison with the first trailer, a massive update of the optics becomes clear.
Horizon Call of the Mountain now looks a lot better than it did in the reveal trailer
That’s what it’s about: The Horizon family is growing in the form of a virtual reality game called Horizon Call of the Mountain. In it we don’t play Aloy, but we can see the world populated by machine dinosaurs with new eyes. The experience should be somewhat impressive and is in development for PSVR 2 in combination with the PS5.

For better or for worse, we’ll have to be patient for quite a while until that happens. Currently there is not even an official release date for Sony’s new virtual reality headset. But that could change tonight when the new State of Play airs. The focus is on third party titles and PSVR 2:

Differences are clear: Even in these brief moments, very clear improvements can be identified. This includes the lighting, the details of the tallneck leg, the vegetation in the background and also the textures and reflections on the leg.

Apparently the quality was screwed and polished again here. We’re excited to see what’s in store tonight – and how Horizon Call of the Mountain will ultimately look like.
What do you say about the changes? Are you looking forward to the State of Play?
