Samsung unveils first 240Hz 4K gaming monitor

Samsung is adding more models to the Odyssey monitor range. Included is the Neo Odyssey G8 with 240Hz and Quantum Mini LED technology.

Samsung Electronics announced the global release of the 2022 release last Monday Odyssey G85NB, G75NB and G40B gaming monitors on. The G85NB is the world’s first 240Hz 4K gaming monitor with a response time of just one millisecond.

In addition, the Neo Odyssey G85NB Quantum Mini LED technology, a curved VA panel with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and Quantum Matrix technology. The product is aimed at gaming enthusiasts and also has automated CoreSync lighting on the back of the monitor.

“Samsung is excited to introduce the world’s fastest 4K gaming monitor to expand even more possibilities and bring innovations to market that create a new and incredibly immersive experience,” said Hyesung Ha, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Gamers ultimately desire that immersive experience in oneness with their character and the scene, and the Odyssey enables this with superior features and lifelike image quality to engage gamers.”

Other models in the Odyssey monitor range are the Neo G7 (G75NB)a 32-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) monitor with a curved VA panel, a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a response time of 1 ms, and the Odyssey G4 (G40B)which is available in 25 and 27 inch sizes and also scores with a refresh rate of 240 Hz.

The gaming monitors Samsung Odyssey G85NB, G75NB and G40B will be Available worldwide from June be. Details on the prices of the respective models are not yet available.
