Gaming: Grammy Awards introduce award for Best Video Game Soundtrack

There will be an award for Best Video Game Soundtrack at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

As the Recording Academy is officially announced, there will be five new Grammy categories as well as the new Special Merit Award for Best Song For Social Change at the 65th Grammy Awards held in 2023.

In addition to the Songwriter Of The Year, Non-Classical, Best Alternative Music Performance, Best Americana Performance and Best Spoken Word Poetry Album awards, a Grammy will also be awarded for the Best Score Soundtrack For Video Games And Other Interactive Media.

The latter is intended to be awarded to Score Soundtrack Albums consisting primarily of original scores and created specifically for or to complement a recent video game or other interactive media released within the Qualification Period.
