Crisis Core - Final Fantasy 7: Comes as a remaster on current consoles and PC

A PSP classic returns: The action role-playing game Crisis Core – Final Fantasy 7 (from 59.04€ at buy) , which appeared exclusively on the first Sony handheld in 2008, is being remastered for current consoles and the PC.

The first sign of life in 14 years

After Crisis Core – Final Fantasy 7 was released exclusively on the PlayStation Portable in 2008, the action role-playing game was quiet for 14 years. There were no conversions or ports of the prequel to Final Fantasy 7 on other consoles or handhelds.

The announcement by Square Enix at the 25th anniversary event of Final Fantasy 7 is all the more surprising: Crisis Core will be revised and released as “Reuninon” for all current platforms. As the publisher announced, the remaster of the PSP classic will include new 3D models, full voice acting and new music arrangements.

Trailer and release period

A trailer for the remaster was released to coincide with the announcement, giving an insight into the overhaul of the action role-playing game. This shows that surfaces and lighting also seem to have received a makeover.

Crisis Core – Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is scheduled for release this winter. A release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and Nintendo Switch is planned.
