Final Fantasy 14: From July there will be more private housing districts

Final Fantasy 14: New Worlds with Patch 6.18 - so you can play it! (1)

from Susan Brown
In April 2022, the developers of Final Fantasy 14 announced how the housing wards of the MMORPG’s housing areas would be divided between free companies and private housing with Patch 6.1 – and thus angered FF14 players who were not responsible for the distribution were able to understand. The feedback has been heard! As of July 11, 2022, wards will be distributed differently; then there are more private wards!

With FF14 Patch 6.1, the developers of Square Enix’ successful MMORPG have divided the housing areas of Eorzea into plots. The division of 18 wards for free societies and 5 wards for private housing met with a lack of understanding from the community at the time. Players who wanted their own house saw all skins swimming away for lucky snag a property in the next housing lottery. Fans then debated whether the Square Enix folks could introduce more tier levels for apartments, like having a balcony or a small garden area.

The problem: If housing plots are reserved exclusively for the companies on game worlds with little active free society, these plots of land then lie fallow while soloists squabble about the plots for private housing – the other way around, the effect is of course similar. Apparently, however, the crowd of players from Final Fantasy 14 (buy now €25.98) larger who want to claim a home of their own. And that’s why the assignments will be changed on July 11, 2022.

More wards for private housing

In the Lodestone for FFXIV, the developers announce that from July 11, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. “in consideration of the current property situation […] Each district will change the availability of private and free company lots. Previously, districts 1 through 18 were reserved for free companies, and districts 19 through 24 were reserved for private lots. Beginning July 11, districts 1 through 9 will be reserved for free societies, while districts 10 through 24 will be available for private housing.
