Fans Plan Red Dead Online’s Funeral – Farewell or Appeal?
Get your best black suits and dresses out of the closet as fans of Red Dead Online and Red Dead Redemption 2 gather next week to bid farewell to Rockstar Online’s titles and heed the state of the game.
Red is Dead and Online is celebrating
Red Dead Online has long been left to its own devices. Without new fodder for players, the game has slowly starved. The last update meal for Red Dead Online was on July 13, 2021 – almost exactly one year ago.
Now, fans of the franchise have taken that date as an opportunity to bid the game farewell and gather online in their somber funeral suits – hoping for more updates from here. Or is it?
Anyone who takes screenshots of this collective mourning event is asked to tag them with the hashtag #SaveRedDeadOnline. That does hint at a glimmer of hope that fans can’t just move on without a fight, despite the funeral.
Who’s up for it then? A funeral to celebrate one year of Red Dead Online being abandoned?
