Sony is about to take away Studio Canal movies you bought from the PS Store

If you have purchased Studio Canal films from the PlayStation Store in the past, you will soon lose access to them completely in Germany and Austria.

The reason for this are expiring licenses, as Sony has announced.

Sorry but thanks for your support

“Starting August 31, 2022, due to our evolving licensing agreements with content providers, you will no longer be able to view your previously purchased Studio Canal content and it will be removed from your video library,” is it[called to this from Sony.

In other words, bad news for anyone who has bought digital film from Studio Canal. It challenges the value of digital purchases and there is currently no evidence that refunds are planned.

There are films like Saw, John Wick and The Hunger Games, but also the series American Gods.
