If you want to try what life in space is like and what the long Kickstarter campaign has unearthed, you can now try Star Citizen free for a week.
The space simulation Star Citizen is famous for the huge crowdfunding alone and also for how long the game has been in a development phase – but you can still play the previous result of the sci-fi game and it’s even free for a week .
So if you weren’t sure yet whether the game from Cloud Imperium is worthwhile for you in the current stage, then you now have the opportunity to test it. The “Free Fly” event lasts from July 8th to 15th, which lets you try Star Citizen without the fee-based starter package and also gives you certain spaceships for free – but only for rent, from the 15th you have to hand back!
If you have tasted blood after that and want to stay with Star Citizen right away, you can also get a cheaper starter pack including the first ship and accessories cheaper until July 18th.

Of course, you were not idle during this time, because there have been a number of innovations in the very ambitious simulation mammoth in recent years, such as additional spaceships, transport options or landscapes.
In addition, Star Citizen sometimes meticulously relies on realistic representation (e.g. of perfectly crumpled bed sheets) but has not yet received the long-awaited single-player campaign. Unfortunately, after 10 years and almost $500 million from dedicated fans of the project, the game is still in an unfinished state.
