Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: That’s why the game will be a PS5 exclusive
Final Fantasy fans have to be patient for almost a year and a half for the second part of the remake series, which is called Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Until then, Square Enix is hard at work on the massive worlds, which will require a lot of processing power that the PS4 can’t match.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second part of the FF7 remake series. Much like the 1997 original with its sequels and prequels, the remakes will be split into three titles. Final Fantasy fans have been able to play the first part of the FF7 Remake series for a while. This appeared on the PS4 and subsequently also on the PC. The second part of the series should for Playstation but exclusively for the PS5 to be published.
Square Enix has decided to Skip PS4 version this time. PS4 owners are looking into the tube. The reason for the decision is primarily the large dimensions of the game world.
Loading speed of the SSD reason for the exclusivity
Final Fantasy Producer Yoshinori Kitase explained that the main reason for favoring the PS5 launch is the game’s graphical quality and the loading speed of the PS5’s SSD. The adventures in the second part of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth also take place in a huge world in which the hardware of the previous generation would have reached its limits.
In an interview with a Japanese magazine, Kitase said: “Because the adventure after escaping Midgar takes place in a huge world, the stress of loading presents an extreme bottleneck We felt that to overcome that and travel the world comfortably, we needed the specs of the Playstation 5.”
In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (Part 2) you travel with the main character Cloud through a huge world with the aim of stopping Shinra and Sephiroth. Part 2 of the FF7 remake series is scheduled for release in winter 2023. Until then, the PS5 may also become a little more affordable – and available at all. Will you be upgrading to the PS5 based on this news?
