Mobile gaming: PUBG Mobile comes up with Blackpink virtual concert and update 2.1

As part of the new update 2.1, PUBG Mobile brings world famous K-Pop girl group Blackpink to the game for an exclusive virtual concert called “The Virtual”.

PUBG Mobile will release the new version 2.1 on July 13th, bringing K-pop sensation Blackpink to the virtual world as part of The Virtual, a fan experience like no other and PUBG MOBILE’s first-ever in-game concert. Alongside these unprecedented performances, BLACKPINK will also be releasing a special track and music video on PUBG Mobile this month.

Update 2.1 will also add the new themed game mode Ancient Secret: Arise, as well as new content from Cycle 3 Season 7 and Royale Pass Month 13, and much more.

This month, the world famous K-Pop group Blackpink makes their epic and much-anticipated return to PUBG Mobile. Having worked with the game in the past, Blackpink are ready to take it to the next level by performing at PUBG Mobile’s first-ever in-game concert. Blackpink and PUBG Mobile fans come together to make history.

Fans have two incredible opportunities to see Blackpink perform some of their popular chart hits and see their idols at this groundbreaking in-game event. The event will take place on July 22-23 and July 29-30 in Americas and July 23-24 and July 30-31 in the rest of the world.

Back in 2020, Blackpink celebrated the launch of “The Album” with a collaboration – one of the game’s most successful partnerships to date. Now, PUBG Mobile wants to step it up even further, presenting a legendary and dazzling collaboration that will bring an absolutely unique experience to players and Blinks around the world.

Fans will get the real Blackpink experience not only at the concert, but also when they receive the official performance suits that the group will wear during their performance. The striking outfits worn by Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa will be available from July 23rd to August 31st and will make players shine on the battlefield.

Players can claim their free tickets in-game starting July 15th and pre-download the Concert Resource Pack the next day. This is required to attend the concert. Starting July 19th, players are responsible for bringing the Blackpink energy to PUBG Mobile. As players gift artists in-game, promo material emerges – the more gifts shared, the more promo material. There are also special rewards every day, ranging from simply logging in to completing themed challenges.

Bright lights will soon be replaced by dusty sandstorms in the Ancient Secret: Arise themed game mode, now available to play. Players will find themed maps in ranked mode, either in Erangel, Miramar, or Livik, and experience the grim sandstorm zone that is randomized at the start of each match. However, brave players who wander in will be rewarded with Scarab Charms, allowing them to return to the game once per match after losing.

Players can also traverse the Quicksand Path to enter the Imperial Temple, move the Sand Giant there, and hop onto the Ancient Secret to reveal the Pharaoh’s loot. The environment is lootable and fighting an ancient enemy offers primordial water. This allows players to refill all of their health and energy.

Several scarab and jackal ruins are scattered across the battlefield. Solving their puzzles or defeating the mummified guardian will award the player with valuable supply crates. There are also desert traders whose incredibly reduced goods can be bought at random locations on the map. And last but not least, scorpion crates filled with supplies are hidden everywhere.

PUBG Mobile’s version 2.1 update also brings Cycle 3 Season 7, with a new set of Legendary Items, a new Season Bonus Points card and a Rating Protection card, allowing players to earn extra points from matches and protect their current Season Rating. Players enjoying Ancient Secret: Arise can also complete themed story missions to unlock new special titles.

New player content is available as part of Royale Pass Month 13: Exo-Genesis. This begins on July 19th and includes rewards such as new finishes for the Mini14 and M762. This time, players can also trade in their Wingman Finish for a Moments card at a 90% discount, complete missions to purchase RP Points at a reduced price once they reach RP Rank 50, and a free 60 UC Voucher earn.
