Soon in Steam Early Access: Zombie healing sim from German developer

PCGH has already reported on the Zombie Cure Lab. Now there is more news that we would like to summarize at this point.

Early Access coming soon

The developers report that the demo phase of Zombie Cure Lab as part of the Steam Next Fest was very successful and tens of thousands of downloads were recorded. There is also no stranger working in the background: Aerosoft has taken over the publishing and of course the simulation experts are known for their many sim products. Developer Thera Bytes is based in Munich, the development of Zombie Cure Lab is financially supported by the FFF Bayern and from the budget of the Free State of Bavaria.

The start of Steam Early Access has now also been given a more precise time window. The EA phase should start in the third quarter, i.e. by the end of September. It is not yet known what changes will be made as a result of the findings of the demo. It is exciting, however, why Aerosoft took over the distribution.

“Most games that involve undead solve the problem by killing them. When Thera Bytes approached us with the idea of making a zombie game about empathy and healing, we jumped at it,” Winfried Diekmann, Managing Director at Aerosoft, is quoted as saying. “We hope Zombie Cure Lab not only takes a refreshing look at the genre, but also shows that there are other nonviolent ways to solve problems.”

Zombie Cure Lab: That’s what it’s all about

As brain-eating zombies swept the world in Zombie Cure Lab, scientists have found an antidote to reverse zombification. The player builds up a perfect zombie healing station. First you use the natural resources to build the camp and the laboratory. In order to manage the whole thing optimally, you send out resource collectors, set up day and night shifts for scientists and manage a total of four types of workers. You can also assign priorities to increase efficiency.

It is also important to research new technologies such as freeze rays or barriers. This gives you new updates for high-quality materials or new scientific equipment to find new healing methods for the zombies. You catch the zombies, treat them and get a new employee. The hybrids called Humbie should be kept happy, otherwise there will be a rage or zombie virus outbreak in the laboratory.
