At TennoCon 2022, Warframe developer Digital Extremes gave players the opportunity to gather for a digital and immersive celebration of Warframe and an exclusive look at the open-world expansion The Duviri Paradox and the Veilbreaker update during the Get TennoLive.

The Duviri Paradox

Digital Extremes is evolving its story-driven open-world systems like never before in the world premiere of live gameplay from the open-world expansion The Duviri Paradox.

Coming to all platforms this winter, The Duviri Paradox brings players a new chapter in Warframe’s Cinematic Quest series, complete with powerful upgrade systems and the ultimate challenge of taking control of Duviri’s colorful open world from the clutches of a despotic ruler, Dominus Thrax, before the repeating cycle begins again.

In an action-packed and cinematic live gameplay demo, The Duviri Paradox wowed audiences by showing the Drifter with his Kaithe (horse) and an appearance by fan-favorite Dax warrior Teshin working together and interacting to create Duviri’s endless time loop to escape.

As the Dax Guards hunt the Drifters at every turn, and a dragon-like orowyrm known as Lodun stalks the vast skies in search of blood, the combined strength of the Drifters and the allies they encounter becomes the key to breaking free from this paradoxical monochrome land and in the clutches of a tyrannical king:

Rebecca Ford, Warframe Creative Director, said: “The Duviri Paradox is a welcome change for us. It’s completely different from anything we’ve done in Warframe before, from the gameplay style to the color palette to the underlying themes. It’s just so unique and I think players will really enjoy the world we built using layers of color as a storytelling technique. Color is a very important thematic element in this expansion, and players already got a little taste of what that means at our live demo at TennoCon earlier this year. Veilbreaker update

During TennoLive, Digital Extremes lifted the curtain on the new Warframe update, Veilbreaker, in which players will experience the return of the legendary Kahl-175 as a protagonist.

In Veilbreaker, players will embark on epic rescue missions and take control of Kahl-175 to free his Grineer brothers kidnapped by the Narmer. In doing so, they’ll team up with other Tenno to fight in cooperative battles against redesigned Archon bosses while killing in style with Protea’s new Caladirus collection.

A new trailer for Veilbreaker heralds intense action with heroic protagonist Kahl-175 rising from the ashes. After surviving Erra’s devastation of Cetus and lifting his Narmer Veil, Kahl resolves to fight for his freedom and the freedom of his Grineer brothers:

50. Warframe “Styanax” and animated short film

Digital Extremes unveils the 50th Warframe, Styanax, and announces an animated short that will be featured on the upcoming Warframe Devstream

TennoCon saw the curtain rise on the 50th playable Warframe. Styanax is a brave Warframe whose design is inspired by Greek champions and other ancient warriors.

As part of the surprise reveal, players were shown a new animated short, with an invitation to watch the world premiere planned for an upcoming Warframe devstream where players can learn more about Styanax and upcoming in-game activities.
