You can finally use Discord on your Xbox – you should know that

Discord is one of the most popular programs for conversations and voice chat. Discord can already be used on the PS4 and PS5, but the most important feature of Discord is missing on PS4 and PS5. You can now use Discord voice chat on Xbox as well, but getting there is a bit more complicated.

We explain what you have to consider and when you can install Discord on your Xbox Series X or Xbox One.

Discord on Xbox is for Insiders and Beta testers first

How to get the update? The update will roll out to Xbox Insiders starting today, July 20, 2022, and will be available to everyone later. Depending on how well the update works, the official update will then also be played out to all other users on their Xbox.

How to enable Discord on Xbox? If you are already an Xbox Insider, you can use the Xbox button to open the guide. Here you then select “Parties and Chats” and go to “Try Discord Voice on Xbox”.

Here you will then see an option to scan a QR code. The QR code will take you to the Discord and Xbox apps to establish a connection between your Discord account and Xbox. If you’ve already linked your Discord account to your Xbox, you’ll need to link it again.

Once you’ve connected your accounts, you’ll see a new option to join on Xbox in the Discord mobile app. Now all you need is the Xbox app to transfer voice chat from your Discord account to Xbox.

Once you install the app, you can connect Discord voice chat to Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console.
