Player farms a super rare mount in WoW for 4 years - Screams with joy when it finally drops

MMORPGs are known for spending a lot of time in them – especially if you’re chasing certain things. A player really wanted a special mount in World of Warcraft and after 4 years he can finally call it his own.

What mount is it? “Invincible” is the name of Arthas Menethil’s horse. When he became the Lich King, he simply resurrected his beloved horse as an undead, and this winged death horse is now available as a mount for WoW players.

Invincible is one of the most coveted items in WoW as it is an absolutely unique and rare mount. Accordingly, there are many players who want to secure the mount and regularly go farming for it.

One of these players is Twitch streamer Bingo1. After 4 years of farming, he finally got his dream mount and duly celebrates the drop with a high-pitched scream and a true “nerdgasm”, jumping wildly around the room:

Why is Invincible so rare? Invincible only falls in the 25-player Heroic mode of Icecrown Citadel and only on the final boss, the Lich King. You can only defeat this once per week per character.

This was made even more difficult by a change in 2020, because a trick with changing the difficulty no longer worked.

Icecrown Citadel must therefore be fully cleared with each character – which should take around 15 minutes to half an hour. It takes a lot of effort to farm such a mount.

World of Warcraft is filled with rare mounts. In our video we introduce you to 6 of them – do you own them?

9 years since first attempt – 4 years active farm

This is how long it took Bingo1: Bingo1 began his first attempt in 2013, back then in Mists of Pandaria, as he himself explains. But he only started actively farming invincible in 2018 in Battle for Azeroth.

So Bingo1 ran through the raid for his mount over 200 times in the 4 years – per character he tried it with. Admittedly, the streamer was very unlucky with the drops.

Incidentally, WotLK Classic is scheduled to be released in September. There you even have the chance to get the rare horse live again.

The joy of the player is therefore not surprising, because after so much work you can let out a cheering cry in the nether. On the other hand, there are also players who apparently get a sun account as a gift and are simply outrageously lucky:
