Ubisoft has discontinued a Splinter Cell and a Ghost Recon

Publisher Ubisoft has stopped several different projects.

These are on the one hand Ghost Recon Frontline and Splinter Cell VR.

Mission aborted

Ghost Recon Frontline was announced as a free-to-play game last October and was set to become a battle royale.

The initial reactions to this were far from good and it seems that since then the project has not gained the necessary confidence to continue.

More news about Ubisoft:

Splinter Cell VR was introduced a little further back, it was announced in September 2020 and was supposed to be released for Oculus devices (now meta). Haven’t heard much new about it since then.

The VR game was created by Red Storm in collaboration with Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Mumbai.

Aside from these two well-known titles, two other previously unannounced projects have also been hit. No further information is available on these so far.
