Dead Cells: New Panchaku update lets you pet animals and fight with frying pans

Action-platformer roguelike Dead Cells has received the new Panchaku update, and once again it brings a wealth of things with it.

Among other things, it is now possible to pet animals in Dead Cells. Certainly not a feature that would be a top priority for some, but a nice touch.

Come to the pan

The update also introduces the new Panchaku weapon, which you may recognize from the animated trailer for the Bad Seed expansion.

It is effectively two frying pans connected together. She critically hits enemies facing you, but can also hit enemies behind and around you with a combo. In the middle of the combo, the frying pans even reflect bombs and projectiles.

You can also use the new Bobby skin to basically play with a new character.

Apart from that, you make some necessary balancing adjustments to the weapons. A total of 29 weapons, skills and mutations were worked on.

Legendary items are still undergoing revisions to make them more intuitive and interesting.

“The only thing you got with the Legendaries was more damage, that’s all,” it says. “More damage is always good, but we wanted to do better!”

The solution is to introduce a new system with additional powers for legendary items. An example of this would be doing 60 percent extra damage to a bleeding enemy.
