WoW: Dragonflight: New feature shows quest givers behind walls
The upcoming expansion WoW: Dragonflight brings with it all sorts of great features in which developers and players have high hopes. But small screws are also turned to improve the comfort for the players. In the future, we will no longer have to look long and hard for quest givers in crooked towns.
With the start of WoW: Dragonflight we leave the shadow lands at the end of 2022 and travel to the dragon islandsto help the dragons conquer their homeland. This also means that we leave the unpopular but fairly manageable capital of Oribos behind and will spend most of our time in Valdrakken, the new capital of the Dragon Islands.
This looks impressive, but is designed rather confusing. This is partly due to the fact that it is also built vertically and many areas are on or inside the towers. So it fits well that the Blizzard developers are making an adjustment to the vision system with the upcoming expansion.
Integrated wallhack for quest NPCs
In one of the recent patches for WoW’s alpha servers (buy now ) the developers have installed a new feature, thanks to which we can no longer recognize all quest NPCs within range only by their exclamation mark on their heads, but they are also displayed with a glowing border. The really new thing about it, however, is that we can now also see this border through walls.
As a result, we should no longer overlook quest NPCs hiding in the furthest corners of a building or somewhere in the undergrowth. Since this new feature appeared on the test servers without any announcement from the developers, the suspicion remains that it could be a bug or an unwanted adjustment. This is also supported by the fact that there is currently no option in the options to switch off this feature. On the other hand, it would be a very strange bug.
How would you like it if you could (on request) recognize all quest NPCs through walls and didn’t have to search long for them? Would you use such a feature or does it disrupt the immersion too much and you wouldn’t use it anyway? Tell us your opinion in the comments.
