Blizzard developers have released an extensive FAQ to help you merge progress from multiple Overwatch accounts into one profile. Finally, Overwatch 2 supports cross-platform progression.
As is well known, on October 4, 2022 the Overwatch 2 Free2Play release on the schedule, but will only provide us with the PvP content for now. - Starting August 16, all players with a linked console account will be prompted to identify, select, and confirm the accounts they wish to merge upon login. Once you have confirmed this, the developers will prepare to merge your accounts in time for the release of Overwatch 2.
- All players, regardless of platform, need a Battle.net account to play Overwatch 2. The progress of linked console accounts will be saved to your Battle.net account. In addition, cosmetic items and game progress are shared with all connected accounts.
- There will only be one opportunity to merge console accounts, so double check which accounts you are merging before confirming!
